The Experience

I'm all about the REAL. So, if you are uncomfortable with posed photography, that's chill. Just go be you and let me snap photos. Create a spotify playlist if you need that. Bring your best friend if you need that. Dance in the field. Go skate. Let your kids run around chasing each other. Be you. That's what I want to capture anyway. I prefer you not look at me truly. I prefer you interact with whoever and whatever is around you. It is seldom that I will ask you to look at me and the camera especially if you are photographing with a spouse or family.

Once you book & you're so super excited, I am sure you have tons of questions. Check the FAQs below. If you're question isn't there, shoot me a message. I'm always down to chat.

FAQs

Do you provide RAW images?

I do not. Editing your images is a huge part of my work & what I love. Giving you images raw feels like an insult to you as my client and to me as your photographer.

When do we pay?

I require a 10% down payment upon booking. Until this is paid, your date is up for grabs. The rest of your payment is due on the session date. I will not edit or show you your images until payment is complete.

How quickly will we receive our images?

I know it can be hard waiting. I always say one to two weeks average. Occasionally, it will take longer depending on the season. However, it is rare that it takes me any longer than 10 days to have your photos completed and ready for viewing!

How will we receive our images?

Your images will be provided in an online gallery here on my website. You and you alone will have the pin to download those photos to your desktop or laptop. There is an icon in the right hand corner of your gallery to download. You enter your email address and the pin given. This will send a zip file with the images to you for download. Please let me know if you have any issues during this process.

Will you photoshop me?

I edit my images, but I don't do any extensive photoshopping. You are lovely as you are, and I want you to know that & never doubt it. I'll edit out temporary blemishes such as acne, but I don't make anyone into someone they're not.

What do we wear?

DO Wear something you feel confident AND comfortable in. Don't wear the heels if you know you are going to worry about falling or turning your ankle. Loose and flowy clothing makes for great photos as they can move around in photos creating more character. If this is a family or couples shoot, wear something you are comfortable being active in. I may have you all walk together, get on the ground and tickle each other,

DO NOT wear super printed clothing. This can move the focus to your clothes instead of to you. Do not wear neon colors. Please. Do. Not. Wear neon colors. They simply do not photograph well. If this a family shoot, I do not want all of you to wear navy shirts and khakis. That's too much. Just wear colors that compliment each other. Don't have one wear red, one wear black, and one wear pink. Wear neutrals or pastels that go well together. If you aren't sure about your outfits, send me photos. I am glad to help and actually LOVE to have an idea of what I am shooting beforehand.

--Here are some neutral, earthy colors that pretty much always photograph well:

Gray, cream, blush, denim, mustard, blush, olive, burnt orange, burgundy, white.

Will there be props?

I typically do not bring props, but YOU are SO welcome, even encouraged, to bring some. Your props will add more character to your photos & show more about the stories I'm capturing. Bring your favorite glasses, your favorite book(s), bring an instrument, etc. Let your little girl bring her stuffed bear. I'm so here for all of that.
